'Mistaken identity' shooting: Murder charge filed in death of Jazmine Barnes, 7, in Houston A 20-year-old Houston man has been charged with capital murder in the death of Jazmine Barnes, a 7-year-old black girl killed in a drive-by shooting that ignited national outrage. Eric Black Jr. admitted involvement in the Dec. 30 shooting, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said Sunday, adding that the shooting appeared to be the result of mistaken identity. Black, who is African American, was arrested without incident by investigators following up on a tip, the sheriff's office said in a statement.
